Welcome! Dan's Woodworks has been in business officially since May 2000 although it got its roots back in 1966 when I became a carpenter's apprentice. I worked as a carpenter through high school and college before going into the Navy. During my Navy career, I continued to love working with wood often making useful things for our home or for gifts. It was not until 1996 before I began my "furniture" phase. Although the basic skills were there, I had just not taken it to the next level. My first sojourn into the furniture stage was making a quilt rack and later a shelf for plate display. After retirement from the Navy, I decided to make this a full time career.
When we moved to Austin, it became apparent that there was a need for my talent in our neighborhood. My reputation soon grew throughout the development and most of my business comes from word of mouth advertising.
